voiceovergame
How to play

Know where your recordings live.

Your voice takes stay in this browser. Account information and site analytics are handled separately.

Recordings and finished videos

The game captures your microphone only when you choose to record or start a microphone check. Voice takes and drafts are stored in this browser’s local storage database on your device. Recording, mixing, and video export run on your device; the game does not send your recorded audio to its server for storage or processing.

Anyone using the same browser profile can access its saved dubs. Delete an individual project through Saved dubs, or clear this site’s browser data to remove local drafts. Downloaded videos are separate files; delete them from your device or any service where you shared them.

A microphone check listens for input levels without saving a take. Leaving the page or closing the check stops its microphone stream.

Optional Google account information

When Google sign-in is configured and you choose to use it, the server verifies a Google identity credential and stores an account identifier, name, email, and account timestamps. Account sessions use secure, HttpOnly cookies and expire after seven days. Signing out revokes the current server session; it does not delete the account record.

Signing in does not upload recordings, transfer browser drafts, or provide cloud backup. Guest recording and downloads work without an account. Account data and recordings are separate.

Analytics and session insights

This site loads Google Analytics 4 and Microsoft Clarity to understand visits and interface use. Those services can collect browsing, device, and interaction information and may use cookies or other identifiers. Their own privacy terms apply.

Game analytics events report actions such as choosing a scene, saving a take, finishing a dub, or exporting a video. The event payloads do not include recorded audio, project names, line text, Google names, or email addresses. Standard analytics and session-insight collection are separate from these event payloads.

Read Google’s privacy policy and Microsoft’s privacy statement. Browser privacy controls and blocking tools may restrict these services.

Requests to the website

The server receives the information needed to serve pages and media, including the requested path and normal request metadata such as an IP address and browser user agent. Access logs support operation and troubleshooting. Authentication responses are private and are not intended for search indexing.

Public pages describe the game and licensed source material. They do not publish your drafts, microphone checks, or account profile. A link to a local result does not make its recording available on another device.

Practical controls

  • Play as a guest if you do not want to use Google sign-in.
  • Grant microphone permission only when you want to record.
  • Delete saved projects or clear site data to remove browser drafts.
  • Download important results before clearing browser storage.
  • Sign out to revoke the current account session.
  • Use browser privacy settings to manage third-party analytics access.
