Play a dubbing game with real film scenes.
A dubbing game lets you replace a character’s dialogue and watch the result in the original picture.
Pepper & Carrot · A dangerous potion What does a dubbing game do?
Dubbing means performing replacement dialogue for an existing picture. Here, you choose a built-in film excerpt and record its displayed English script. The picture stays the same while your voice takes the place of the character you selected.
It is a short performance exercise. The site does not translate dialogue, clone a film actor’s voice, or accept arbitrary video uploads. You can experiment with the provided roles and line-by-line recording windows.
Your character, with the rest of the scene
If you record one role, the other role keeps its original voice. Music and effects remain part of the scene. Preview the exchange first to understand where your lines fit, then use Hear the original for an individual cue.
Try A dangerous potion for a confident challenge followed by a nervous reveal. The two deliveries work against each other, so timing matters as much as a distinctive voice.
Match the cue before perfecting the character
Listen for the start of the phrase and leave room for its ending. Use headphones, speak clearly, and let the countdown prepare you. If the last word is clipped, try a more compact delivery inside the available recording window.
The game helps with timed cues; it does not automatically rewrite the line or reshape mouth movements to fit a longer recording. A full scene gives you several chances to maintain a character across an exchange.
Questions & answers
Can I upload any movie to dub?
No. The current game uses its built-in catalog of licensed excerpts. It does not provide custom video uploads or downloads of third-party Dub Packs.
Can I dub both characters?
Yes. Select both characters in the studio, then record each displayed line. You can perform both roles yourself or take turns on the same device.
