The mayor awards Pepper first place after the town is saved. Pepper explains that the supposed potion has a much less glamorous origin. The change from ceremony to a candid explanation supplies the comic turn.
A grand announcement and an awkward explanation
Give the mayor a clear announcement with room for the winner’s name. As Pepper, explain the embarrassing truth naturally rather than turning every word into a punchline. Listen for the change in energy between the two turns.
Listen to the original before recording. Your selected character uses your takes; the other role keeps its original performance. Select both roles to perform the complete exchange or take turns on the same device.
Script and delivery notes
These are the English lines used in the game. Each turn has its own recording cue, and you can retake a single line without restarting the scene.
- 01Mayor0:00–0:10
Because she saved our town, we award first place to… Miss Pepper! For her wonderful potion!
Deliver the award like a triumphant public announcement.
- 02Pepper0:10–0:19
Huh, in fact… it’s not really a potion… it’s just my cat’s pee sample from his last trip to the vet! Isn’t it, Carrot?
Explain the truth with awkward, matter-of-fact honesty.
